Protected public spaces for breastfeeding mothers and children in Saskatoon.

One of the most common reasons mothers don’t meet their own breastfeeding goals is a lack of confidence breastfeeding in public. Saskatoon Breastfeeding Matters has created the Breastfeeding Protection Pledge to ensure that breastfeeding women feel safe and welcome to breastfeed anywhere, any time, and in any way. Local businesses who sign the pledge are committed to:
• Educating staff about breastfeeding rights
• Display a window decal to welcome breastfeeding families
• Respond to potential conflicts without disturbing the breastfeeding mother
The Passport to Breastfeeding app provides easy access to:
• A list of local businesses that have signed the pledge
• Information about breastfeeding rights
