The “Speech Therapy: Games and Exercises for Articulation” application was created with the intention of offering a tool for speech therapists to use during the therapeutic process and also for parents or guardians to be able to practice the exercises at home, enhancing the gains from speech therapy.

It is a broad and easy-to-use tool that allows not only articulation work, but also various aspects regarding language in adults and children.

Its use can be applied to cases of phonemic changes, but it also offers tools to professionals who can use them in the work of phonological awareness, attention and auditory discrimination, memory and articulatory training of simple and complex words and in sentences.

The application allows you to practice Brazilian Portuguese phonemes (B, CH, K, D, F, G, J, L, LH, M, N, NH, P, Q, R, r(soft), S, T, V, Z) including archiphonemes (r/s) and consonant groups in different positions in words (initial, medial and final).

Within this, some phonemes are subdivided into levels of difficulty, with level 1 for monosyllabic and two-syllable words and level 2 for trisyllabic and polysyllabic words. Thus offering greater option and focus when working on the beginning of phonemic installations, working from simple words to short phrases.

An additive to this application is the possibility of increasing vocabulary and stimulating language given the large number of words offered.

"Important notes

– Although it helps to practice the articulation correction of phonemes, using this application does not replace speech therapy.

– The child should already be able to articulate the phoneme correctly in isolation, then in simple syllables. As a result, with the exercises and games offered in this application, they will be able to gradually place sound by automating acquisitions in isolated words and sentences.

– It is necessary that the child already has the ability to speak words and develop sound correction in isolated contexts and syllables, otherwise they must be guided by the Speech Therapist responsible for the child.
