Prayer Reach is a catalyst for prayer that reaches into the communities of the world where churches are few, and Jesus followers are often not present. At select times throughout the year, Prayer Reach will facilitate a global movement of prayer for select communities and people around the world.

Jesus told his followers to “…go and make disciples of all nations.” This was the instruction to each of us who choose to align our lives with His, and it often referred to as the Great Commission. The mission of God is not a one-time or part-time endeavor, it is a lifestyle we have chosen when we said “yes” to following Christ. It is the cause which directs our life and seeks uses every skill, passion and experience God has placed inside us. By spending time in prayer for people who do not yet know His amazing love, we align our hearts and minds with His, and open ourselves to how He might desire to use us for His Great Commission.

Prayer Reach is a ministry of Operation Mobilisation (OM.) In 1957, George Verwer and two friends took a mission trip to Mexico. What began with three men who deeply desired to share the love of Christ with those who did not know it multiplied into a global movement of believers committed to seeing God’s love shared with every person on earth.

Today, over 6,800 people from 128 nationalities serve with OM in 110 countries. We are a mix of traditional missionaries, marketplace professionals, artists, pastors, teachers and more.

For over 60 years, God has used us to take the gospel around the globe, and we won’t stop now. There are an estimated three billion people who still do not know God’s love, so we will continue to mobilise Jesus followers to go to places with few or no churches, and where God’s love is needed most. As George Verwer himself said, “We will press forward until every creature has heard the gospel…the world is our goal!”
