In the winter of the year 198 of the Fantasy Era, a giant meteorite struck the northern part of the continent of La Nino, instantly wiping out all civilizations and burying them forever in the depths of the sea, leaving no survivors. Kingdoms and city-states sent aid to the disaster area, but all who went perished, vanishing into the mysterious sea… This event is known as the Cataclysm of Kata. The immense changes brought about by the meteorite affected the entire continent of La Nino, thus this cataclysm is considered the beginning of a new era.

Fifty years later, the Asriel Empire—a nation that rapidly rose to power by harnessing the immense energy of the meteorite—declared war on the various city-states and kingdoms. Meanwhile, a legend began to circulate across the continent: in the ocean at the epicenter of the cataclysm, there was an island, and on that island lay a meteorite ruin, containing endless treasures and the meteorite's energy…

Through the relentless adventurers' journeys, the ruin acquired a conventional name—the [City of Fantasy].
