In Blitzan Tikun, every production pour gets one test candle, two readings and a verdict against the wick spec you already approved.

Each vessel and wax combination has a known-good card: the approved wick, the fragrance load, the approval photo 📸 and tolerance bands for melt-pool diameter and flame height. They are bands rather than single numbers 🔢, so a reading lands within spec, borderline or out of spec instead of just looking different.

When you record a pour, you pick the wax, wick and fragrance lots as lot-code chips, and any lot that is new ✨ since the last passing pour is highlighted. Photograph the lot labels with the camera 📷 or pick them from your gallery 🖼️.

The spot check ✅ is a short fixed protocol instead of a full ladder test. You note 📝 the burn start 🚀, set the hour-2 melt pool on a ruler slider with the pass band shaded, then read the flame height while a semicircular gauge follows each reading. On save 💾 you get the verdict, and a borderline or out-of-spec result names the lots that changed since the last pass on that card.

Blitzan Tikun also looks across products. The Lots tab groups wax, wick and fragrance lots with pass, borderline and fail counts, sorted by failure rate, so one bad wick lot shows up on every card it touched. Each card keeps a run chart 📊 of every check ✅ plotted against its bands.

Starting specs come bundled: typical tolerance presets for soy, coconut-soy, paraffin, paraffin-soy and beeswax across vessel diameter bands, plus a protocol guide for placement, wick trimming and measuring. An approved wick is really a claim about one wax lot, one wick lot and one fragrance batch. Blitzan Tikun checks that claim again with every pour.
