SteganoMama: Hide your message

Hide password-protected messages in PNG and JPG files

Stegano Mama helps you hide text messages inside PNG and JPG files and protect them with a password. Choose an image, enter a message and password, save a new container file, and share it with another person.
Before embedding, the message is encrypted locally on your device. The encryption key is derived from your password with Argon2id, and the data is protected with AES-GCM. Each message uses a unique salt and nonce. Passwords and plaintext messages are not stored in the app history.

- clear warnings for oversized files and explicit feedback for wrong passwords.

Stegano Mama uses Android's system file picker. The app does not require an account and is designed for local data processing on your device.
Important: the generated container must be shared as a file. If you send it as a regular photo, a messenger, gallery, or cloud service may recompress it, remove service data, and damage the hidden message.
The app is useful for private notes, short messages, codes, hints, and other information that you want to store or share in a less obvious form.
