SMS Expense Tracker helps you monitor daily spending by reading eligible bank transaction SMS alerts and turning them into simple expense records.

The app helps you:
• detect debit expenses from bank SMS
• automatically log amount, merchant or payee, and date
• view today's spending and monthly spending
• manage transactions with add, edit, and delete options
• track a monthly budget
• view smart summary charts such as monthly trends and category split
• receive a daily reminder to review expenses

Why SMS permission is needed:
The app uses bank transaction SMS alerts to identify debit expenses and create expense entries automatically. SMS is used only for expense tracking. All SMS processing happens locally on the device.

Privacy:
• expense data stays on the device
• SMS is not used for advertising or marketing
• the app does not sell personal data
• users can review, edit, or delete transactions at any time

Important note:
Some UPI transactions may not include enough merchant detail in the SMS, so automatic categorization may not always be perfect. Users can review and update transactions manually when needed.
