Scytales ICAO Reader

Scytales’ ICAO Reader for Travel Documents uses multiple validation methods to ensure the document can be trusted and that it is being presented by its rightful holder. Validation can be performed via NFC, as well as through photo scanning and imaging of the MRZ using OCR.

Machine-Readable Travel Documents (MRTDs) are designed to provide a more secure, interoperable, and privacy-conscious way to verify identity documents. Scytales’ Mobile Validator supports ICAO 9303–compliant ePassports, national eID cards, and residence permits, enabling reliable verification in real-world mobile environments.
