OVERVIEW

MORE THAN A CALL BUTTON—IT’S A TRUE CONNECTION
Arial® Resident, a feature of Securitas Healthcare’s Arial® Emergency and Nurse Call solution, allows caregivers to respond to a resident alarm in the Arial Caregiver mobile app, Arial Web Client, or Arial Desktop by calling directly to a tablet set up in the resident’s room.
This real-time, two-way communication between caregivers and residents empowers caregivers with the context they need to help prioritize effectively, respond more efficiently, and deliver more personalized and reassuring care.

HOW ARIAL RESIDENT WORKS FOR YOU
- Arial Resident runs on in-room Android tablets that enable two-way voice communication and provide visual feedback during alarms and calls
- Residents have the choice to use their pendant, call station, and now, Arial Resident from their in-room tablet to activate an alarm in Arial
- Once an alarm is initiated, the tablet provides visual feedback to the resident reassuring them that their alarm is active as well as showing when a voice call is occurring
- When there is an active alarm, calls from caregivers are automatically answered in speakerphone mode—no resident interaction is required
- Caregivers can call to the room at any time to connect with a resident to easily share information or get an answer to a question
- Caregivers or other staff members can request additional assistance while in a resident’s apartment by activating an alarm using the Arial Resident tablet, allowing them to stay with a resident while waiting for other staff to respond
- Arial Resident can help facilitate an audio connection with another staff member over speakerphone while they are waiting with a resident

TABLET USE AND MANAGEMENT
- Connection to Wi-Fi from resident rooms is required and likely already present in your community—no need for additional, expensive infrastructure
- Use your own Android tablet, or choose devices supplied by Securitas Healthcare running Android 13 or higher
- Arial Resident is managed through the application manager within the Arial Emergency and Nurse Call solution from a staff workstation
- Each tablet used with Arial Resident is continually monitored by Arial. Alerts are provided if batteries become low or if tablets go offline or lose connection to Arial
- Arial Resident provides immediate feedback to residents if tablet is unplugged and when tablet is offline
- Arial Emergency and Nurse Call solution 12.0 or later is required to run Arial Resident
