Addition to paragraph 2.1 of the rules of the road says that the driver can prove the existence of an insurance policy using his electronic version. The owner of the car has the ability to show the document on the phone, tablet or laptop. Thus, the SDA officially designated the existence of CTP in electronic form. It will be enough for the driver, if necessary, to present an electronic policy on the smartphone. The national police can check the policy for authenticity in a single and publicly available database MTIBU.

The compulsory insurance contract is available from February 7, 2018 by order of National Financial Services No. 3631 dated August 31, 2017 “On approval of changes to the Regulation on the specifics of entering into OSAGO contracts”.

In case of inspection by the patrol police, all you need to do is to use the "Insurance" section of the Traffic Tickets UA app to confirm the number and validity period of your electronic CTP insurance or provide a visual form of your policy in PDF.
