Discover your Ba-Wü!

With your help, we want to map building, cultural and natural monuments throughout Baden-Württemberg. We are glad that you would like to become a BaWü discoverer! Together we feel with this app on what there is to see in Baden-Württemberg! We are interested in your discoveries and favorite places, no matter in which corner of our state. For who knows them better than you?

The Landeskunde portal LEO-BW already contains many historical and some contemporary illustrations documenting the architectural heritage of the German Southwest. But these motifs from archives, libraries and museums are far from covering the entire country in its cultural diversity. Only with your help and local knowledge can we change that gradually. Upstream, the map of Baden-Württemberg should be filled with pictures and contributions from our BaWü explorers.

Have you discovered an exciting / interesting building near you or on an excursion? A historic factory site, a small, at first glance inconspicuous church or simply a building that makes up the character of your place? Or an architectural detail that inspires you? Maybe a specific city view? Then enter the location in the BW card and take a picture of it. Write a few lines about what's remarkable about the subject or what your personal relationship with the place or object is. The app is not just about capturing the already well-known sights, but also the (supposedly) ordinary on your own doorstep.

The app offers the opportunity to share your favorite places with others and to get in touch with them. We will gradually make the app's contributions accessible via the LEO-BW portal.
