The tabtour is a product of Teamgeist GmbH and a corporate solution for relevant learning, game or conference topics such as strategy, safety, health and communication on new virtual paths, awarded the German Tourism Prize.

The basis of the Tabtour is an interactive high-tech strategy game that combines learning content with motivating experiences. The principle: So-called tabspots are placed digitally at the event location. Tabspots are globally interesting, worth knowing and attractive places defined by coordinates which embody knowledge, views or forms of play and are presented as puzzles, knowledge questions or tasks in connection with images, texts or high-tech.

In the event, all teams are equipped with a tablet PC and this special tabtour application. The application primarily enables the participants to orient themselves, to navigate to tab spots, to log into tab spots and to solve exciting tasks.

But what initially sounds like a GPS or geocaching tour in theory is much more in practice, because the software has many other innovative features ready. In this way, the participating teams can communicate with each other and with a game master in real time. Puzzles can be solved in a variety of ways (photo, text, multiple choice, QR code) and additional audio or video files can be loaded. Player data can be called up and made visible or invisible on the map. Furthermore, pictures can be taken which are collected on a central PC during the event and are immediately available at the end of the event.

The high degree of freedom that the teams have with the new event format is outstanding. Location selection, order, point value or speed are freely selectable. The framework is set solely by time, security and the goal of achieving the maximum number of points. The foundation for team success is formed by strategy, focus, team spirit, creativity and communication.

Event formats such as team training, events or congresses can now be freely selected with tabtour. Indoor and outdoor solutions are offered. Particularly innovative are the good analysis options and the easy measurability of the success of the event.
