Walled City

Fight a triad up a 1993 Kowloon tower block, seen through a bodycam lens.

The tape is rolling. The block belongs to the Golden Crane.

Walled City is a tactical first-person shooter for a phone held sideways. Kowloon, 1993: one rainy night, one crowded tower block held by triad gunmen, and everything you do is recorded on a chest camera. Fisheye lens, grain, rolling shutter, a timestamp burned into the corner. No crosshair, no health bar: you aim down the sights, and a few hits are enough, both ways.

TAPE 01: THE BLOCK
Go in from the neon street, through the fish-ball workshop, up three floors of corridors and flats, through a power cut on the second floor and the Golden Crane hall on the third, to the rooftop, where "Red Pole" Fung fights in three phases and calls in his men.

EVERY SHOT IS WARNED
A gunman levels his gun and a glint flares at his muzzle before he fires. Watch for it, lean round the corner, crouch behind the counter and pick your moment. Shots carry through the rooms: the men next door hear the fight and come looking.

CLOSE QUARTERS
Crouch up behind a man who hasn't seen you for a silent TAKEDOWN. Catch one reloading or rushing you and DISARM him: his rifle is yours. Too close to shoot? STRIKE with the butt or the pistol.

TAKE THEIR GUNS
Start with a pistol. Every man who drops leaves his gun on the floor: the SMG, the pump shotgun, the TYPE 56 rifle. Crouch and hold still with the rifle for a braced aim. When it all goes wrong, slow time down: bullet time refills with every kill, more with a headshot.
