App Description

We examine the upcoming election campaign from the voters' perspective.

About the project:
In this project, we examine the upcoming election campaign from the voters' perspective.

There are many election campaign surveys that deal with how the election campaign is going, but few allow voters to have their say.

In the app, My Election Diary, voters can write about what they think about the election campaign leading up to the general election. You decide what you want to write about, when and how much you want to write.
There are many options. For example, you can write about your thoughts on politics, the role of the media, who you want to vote for and which political issues are important to you and which ones may get too much attention. You can also write about how you follow the election campaign, why you don't follow it, or why you want to vote or, for example, not exercise your right to vote.

Personal data security and consent:
The project is being carried out by researchers at the Institute for Social Research in Norway and the Institute for Society and Politics, Aalborg University in Denmark.
The collected data is stored at the Sensitive Data Services (TSD) at the University of Oslo.
To write in "My Election Diary", participants must give their consent to the project processing their information.
Consent is given the first time you log in to the app.

Participation in the project is voluntary. Participants can withdraw their consent at any time without giving any reason. As long as you can be identified in the data, you have the right to request access, correction, deletion and disclosure of your personal information.

Sikt, the service provider for the knowledge sector in Norway, has assessed that the processing of personal information is in accordance with current Danish and Norwegian personal data legislation (GDPR).

Everyone working with the survey is obliged to maintain confidentiality and all information will be treated confidentially. The results of the survey will be communicated in such a way that your anonymity is maintained. Personal data that is either directly or indirectly identifiable will be deleted or rewritten at the end of the project, at the latest by the end of 2032.
