Eesti Verbid is an Estonian verb conjugation trainer created specifically for Russian-speaking residents of Estonia.

You memorize not individual words, but actual phrases with the correct verb forms. Each verb is worked through a system of blocks: from simple conjugation by person to negatives, questions, and phrases with context.

FIVE TYPES OF EXERCISES

▸ Choose a translation — choose the correct Estonian translation from several options. Suitable for first acquaintance with new phrases.

▸ Build a sentence — create an Estonian phrase from the given words. Practice word order and sentence structure.

▸ Translate into Estonian — write the translation yourself, without prompting. The most effective way to consolidate knowledge.

▸ Change the person — you are given a phrase with one pronoun, rewrite it for another. Practices what makes conjugation difficult: switching between forms.

▸ Correct the Error – Find and correct the incorrect verb form in a sentence. Develops your "inner editor" – a skill essential for real-life speech.

HOW THE LEARNING WORKS

The app uses spaced repetition: new phrases appear more frequently, while mastered ones appear less frequently. There are more easy exercises for new words, and more difficult ones for mastered ones. The system automatically adapts to your level.

Each verb is divided into 6 blocks:

- Block 1 — Simple conjugation for all persons
- Block 2 — Phrases with context (I eat soup, I read a book)
- Block 3 — All persons with different contexts
- Block 4 — Negative forms
- Block 5 — Question forms
- Mix — A review of all the verbs covered, mixed together
