App Description
Dictate in any app. Tap a text box, tap the bubble, speak.
VoxKey turns your voice into text in almost any app.
Tap a text box in a message, email, note or search bar. A small VoxKey bubble appears above your keyboard. Tap it and speak, then tap the check to finish. Or press and hold the bubble while you talk and let go to insert your words. Your regular keyboard stays exactly as it is.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Dictate in the apps you already use. No copying and pasting.
• Choose how your words read: formal, casual or very casual, set separately for personal chats, work apps, email and everything else.
• Add a personal dictionary so names and terms are spelled your way, and tell VoxKey what it tends to mishear.
• Save snippets: say a short phrase and VoxKey types the longer text for you.
• Review your recent dictations on the Home tab.
• Use it in several languages.
• Optional: use VoxKey as a voice keyboard too, if you prefer.
ACCESSIBILITY PERMISSION: WHY VOXKEY ASKS FOR IT
VoxKey uses Android's Accessibility service to do two things only: notice when you tap a text box, so it can show the bubble, and type what you dictated into that box. To place your text at your cursor, VoxKey briefly reads what is already in the box. It does not store or send what is on your screen, and it never shows the bubble in password fields. You turn the permission on yourself, and you can switch it off any time in Android's Accessibility settings.
YOUR PRIVACY
• Speech is recognized by the recognizer built into Android. On phones that support it, this happens on the device. On other phones, Android may use Google's speech service, which has its own privacy policy.
• VoxKey never receives your audio.
• Helping improve VoxKey is optional and off until you choose it. If you opt in, VoxKey shares the text you dictate and corrections you make inside the app so we can improve our voice models. This can include anything you say. You can turn it off, and delete what you shared, from Settings.
• Nothing is sold, and there are no ads.
