WomanAid is a personal safety app for women, girls, families with children, and their trusted supporters.

WomanAid is the first safety app built around multiple Safety Scenarios, recognizing that different real-life situations require different responses in order to speed up and improve the way help can reach you or your loved ones.

With your permission, WomanAid can use location even when the app is closed or not in use to keep the correct Safety Scenario active for your current Geozone. If you enable Automatic Scenario Switching, the app can switch scenarios when you enter or leave saved places such as Home, Work, Learn, and Outside.

When SOS is activated, WomanAid alerts the Trusted Contacts selected for the active Safety Scenario, shares your current location, and can optionally send the first 15 seconds of audio if you enabled that for a contact. Trusted Contacts also receive a scenario-specific action plan so they can respond quickly and appropriately.

Key features

Safety Scenarios and Geozones
Different safety situations require different responses. Create geozones and assign the right Safety Scenario to each place. WomanAid supports Safe Relationship, Home Security, Home Health, Outside Safety, Outside Health, Dignity at Work, Safe School, and Safe University.

Automatic Scenario Switching
When enabled, WomanAid can automatically change the active Safety Scenario when you enter or leave a saved geozone. Automatic Scenario Switching and geozone entry and exit alerts are available in WomanAid Premium.

SOS for emergencies
Activate SOS from the main interface, Interactive Mode, or a compatible Bluetooth SOS device. If SOS remains active, Trusted Contacts receive your location and the safety information configured for that scenario.

Interactive Mode
Use a neutral interface for discreet SOS activation in sensitive situations, for example during a date in the Safe Relationship scenario or when experiencing pressure from a partner.

Trusted Contacts and Loved Ones
Trusted Contacts receive information only during SOS and only according to your settings for that scenario. Loved Ones are for ongoing mutual care and can see location, safety status, and selected geozone notifications when you enable sharing.

Safety Journal
Optional audio recording can help document an incident. Short audio can be shared with Trusted Contacts according to your settings, while longer recordings are stored in your protected Safety Journal.

Family and child safety
Parents and guardians can support child accounts, monitor safety status and location with consent, and manage access to settings in Child Mode.

User control and privacy
Geozones, Automatic Scenario Switching, Loved Ones notifications, SOS sharing, and audio features are optional and controlled by your settings. You decide which contacts are involved and what data is shared for each Safety Scenario. WomanAid uses precise location and (optional) microphone for safety features (geofencing, SOS). With explicit adult opt‑in, de‑identified audio/location may be used to improve our ML safety models. Kids Mode is parent‑managed and excluded from model training. WomanAid is not a substitute for emergency services and does not replace calling 112, 911, or your local emergency number. It provides emergency coordination and non-medical safety action plans. App performance depends on granted permissions, device settings, network connectivity, battery state, GPS and Bluetooth accuracy, and operating system background limits.
