Unique Feature 2: WHO ICD-11 codes. Only here.

Unique Feature 3: Hyperlinks/cross-references in Inclusive and Exclusive sections. Jump directly to the corresponding codes.

Unique Feature 4: List of remedies + Morbi-RSA integrated. Search by indication groups (EN1, ST2, etc.) and find all corresponding diagnoses. Prescription quantities, frequency recommendations, and goals for occupational/physical therapy are also provided.

Unique Feature 6: Professional search.

Search with two terms.

Search backwards for "reporting obligation," "new2025," "physiotherapy," "PS3" (medical indication groups), etc.

Results sorted by frequency.

Coding notes (synonyms, inclusions, etc.) contain valuable information. Unlike other apps, this app includes and searches the coding notes (as well as all other content)! Try entering "dissocial" into the search function of another ICD app. It should find, among other things, all ICDs beginning with F92. Please compare this with other apps.

Coding notes (synonyms, inclusions, etc.) contain valuable information. Unique Feature 7: Lists for Tabulating Mortality

Unique Feature 8: Alpha-ID and Orpha-ID

Answer questions such as:

• What does the code "M45" mean?

• What are "Ziegenpeter" or "Glasbläser's Disease"?

• Which diagnoses are new in 2025 and 2024, respectively?

• Which specialist group codes diabetes most frequently?

• How many people were hospitalized or died due to I10.00?

• What coding guidelines (inclusions, exclusions) exist for the diagnosis E11.01?

• What definitions exist for F40.0?

• Which diagnoses are reportable?

• Which diagnoses are related to long-term medical care needs?

• What diagnoses do I find when I search for "physiotherapy / occupational therapy / speech therapy"?

Data sources used:

• ICD-10 2025
• ICD-11 WHO 2024
• German Medical Devices Catalogue 2021
• Morbi-RSA 2025
• Destatis, BARMER Physician Report

The following details are displayed for each ICD code in the app: (see screenshots)

• ICD code and text
• ICD chapter, group, and subgroup
• Reporting requirements (physician/laboratory)
• Age/gender restrictions

• Frequency in outpatient/inpatient settings

• Reference to the German Medical Devices Catalogue: Indication groups (AT, ST1, etc.) separated by:

- Special prescription needs

- Long-term medical device needs
• Reference to morbidity-related factors Risk adjustment (disease, HMG, DXG)

• Coding instructions (includes/excludes and even definitions)

each at the group/3-digit or end-digit level

• Use according to §295/§301 SGB V (German Social Code, Book V)

• Synonyms (Alpha-ID list, Orpha-IDs)

• 4 mortality list codes

The coding instructions with the inclusions and exclusions are provided centrally for all levels (group, 3-digit, 4-digit) in the ICD details. This is more convenient than in the book, where this information is stored in various places.

When searching, a new search is initiated immediately after entering each individual character, and the number of hits is displayed.

What is ICD-10?

The International Classification of Diseases, German Modification (ICD-10-GM) is the official classification for diagnoses in outpatient and inpatient care in Germany and serves to code diseases and causes of death.

The ICD-10-GM is a German-adapted version of the WHO ICD-10.

The Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM) publishes the ICD-10-GM on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Health. Its use is governed by Section 301 of the German Social Code, Book V (SGB V), and by Section 295 of the SGB V, both for inpatient and outpatient care.
