App Description
Make Project published instructions for Arduino, Raspberry Pi, 3D printing & Co.
A maker scene has emerged worldwide for which working with soldering irons, saws and cordless screwdrivers is exciting and as natural as working with a 3D printer and scanner, laser cutter and single-board computer (Raspberry/Arduino).
The magazine Make builds with you and publishes cool project instructions that both beginners and advanced users can understand. The articles are about Arduino, Raspberry Pi and Co and about projects far away from PC and electronics such as ceramic upcycling, water rockets, biohacking or textile printing. Make shows how the project works, provides both basic articles on topics such as metalworking, CAD and programming as well as regular portraits of hobbyist luminaries and portrays the working methods of well-known companies and service providers who are involved in this area. Tests provide information on which accessories are best suited for the maker, such as 3D printers, oscilloscopes or soldering irons. The aim of Make is to inspire the reader, to enable them to take action themselves, to understand the technology, to misuse what already exists and to let their own technical ideas run free.
The team of authors is part of the German maker scene. The cooperation with the US edition of Make enriches the content with international projects. From simple quick hacks, inspirational build reports to detailed replica instructions for complete devices, there is something for everyone.
Creative minds and innovative lateral thinkers will find what they are looking for in Make. In addition to the magazine and online presence, Make organizes the Maker Faires - a festival for the whole family, where makers, schools, hackerspaces and fablabs inspire and invite people to join in and imitate.
