Calculate how much CO2e is generated from part design to production
At this stage the needed amount of material as well as the wall thickness of the part play one of the most important role.
Later in mold design the number of cavities, estimated cooling time as well as the cooling and runner system need to be considered.
If it comes to the injection molding production it is important to know where the mold will come from and where it should be shipped after the first trials are done.
So transportation as well as of the mold itself and later on the produces plastic parts becomes another player if one is thinking about a CO2e footprint.
Based on experience of the process this App provides a step by step and easy to use questionnaire that can be filled within seconds.
As a result the CO2e footprint in each of the sections mentioned above is given as well as the total amount of CO2e used in the whole process chain.
The results calculated can be used in order to find potentials in the process of the development of a plastic part that allows the reduction of CO2e and help to create a better environment for all of us.
