HOW IS THE DUE DATE CALCULATED?

We use Naegele’s Rule to calculate your pregnancy due date. This rule of thumb is based on the menstruation cycle of a woman who has a 28-day menstrual cycle. If you have shorter or longer cycles, it will be a bit different. Our calculator automatically adjusts to the average cycle length of 28 days and adds or subtracts seven days from your LMP (last menstrual period).

Calculating pregnancy due date is not an exact science because LMP can be off by as much as 5-7 days, so use our due date predictor as an estimate for your baby’s arrival.
