Taxi Driver app to join the queue and get a virtual dispatch.
Taxi Drivers use the app to join and reserve a spot in the queue. When arriving at the Holding Lot at the airport, drivers are dispatched to a Terminal through the app.
You must enable location services in order to use the Join the Queue feature.
Location services will run in the background on your device to ensure that only taxis located at certain defined distances from the airport are able to join the queue and be called to the holding lot. These distances are set by the Port Authority of NY/NJ and subject to change based on operational requirements of the airport.
Taxi drivers can still review the length of the taxi queue and average wait time for dispatch without enabling location services.
