The tool ScOpe helps you answer on popular misconceptions about nuclear energy

Since the arrival of social media, fake news has contaminated “our walls,” deforming the facts and raising questions among our families, friends, and acquaintances. Everyone wades through vast quantities of information daily and the truth is often very hard to find.

In the same way, energy and electricity production have been at the center of both digital and public debates for more than a year, confronting French public opinion with a great deal of information, sometimes partial, often contradictory.

Orano, as a major player in the French nuclear industry, has an obligation to speak publicly about this energy source. We thus hired the polling institute BVA in April 2019 to better understand the perceptions of the French public and how much they know about the nuclear industry.
The results led us to design a teaching tool to help you respond to questions and misconceptions with solid arguments.
