Beacon - a Catholic Events App for the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland

What does Beacon do?

There’s a myriad of amazing initiatives and great Catholic events on in Ireland, that you may not have even heard of! The aim of this app is to make those events discoverable to you, so that they can easily be shared with others, build communities, and allow like-minded Catholics to meet each other and form lasting friendships centred on the faith. You can tailor your search using filters, and tags, to find events based on what you’re into, where you want to go or when you want to go.

With the Beacon app you can:

• Find the latest Catholic events on in Ireland in a centralised place.
• View all the information about that event, such as price, organiser, location, duration, etc.
• Apply filters to tailor your search.
• Save events of interest which will be added to your Bookmarks tab.
• Upload your own events to share with the community.
• View and search for events in map view, to easily pinpoint events near you.

We named the app “Beacon” as it is a sign of hope to young Catholics that you’re not alone in your faith, and this is realised through fellowship. In the words of St. Catherine of Siena, “Be who you are meant to be, and you will set the world on fire”.
