App Description
Application to access the Holy Scriptures Bible in Portuguese with audio.
Welcome to our application dedicated to the Holy Scriptures, a digital window that brings you closer to the very essence of the divine word. Available for the Spanish language. Immerse yourself in the richness of the Bible in its ancient version, translated from Hebrew and Greek into Spanish by Casiodoro de Reina in 1569, supported by the New Testament by Francisco de Enzinas (1543) and the New Testament with Psalms and Proverbs by Juan Pérez de Pineda ( 1556). This masterpiece was meticulously compared later with Cipriano de Valera's revision in 1602, guaranteeing the fidelity and authenticity of each word.
The Bear Bible is a historic translation of the Bible into Spanish by Casiodoro de Reina, a Spanish monk who converted to Protestantism. First published in 1569, it is named for the illustration of a bear on the cover, which shows a bear extracting honey from a beehive. This edition is notable for being the first complete translation of the Bible into Spanish from the original Hebrew and Greek texts.
Casiodoro de Reina undertook this work while in exile in Europe due to religious persecution in Spain. His translation was a monumental effort, and although it faced later criticism and revisions, it had a lasting impact on biblical literature in Spanish. The "Bible of the Bear" served as the basis for the revision carried out by Cipriano de Valera in 1602, known as the "Bible of the Pitcher", and both contributed significantly to the dissemination of the Scriptures in the Spanish-speaking world.
