Una for Diabetes is a digital application for the management of Type 2 Diabetes. Our programme will help you to better understand and manage your diabetes. It will allow you to try out different lifestyles and identify the optimal one. This way you can build positive and sustainable health behaviours.
Una for Diabetes is an app for people with Type 2 Diabetes and has been certified as a Digital Health Application (DiGA) since 2024. The app can be prescribed by any doctor or psychotherapist on prescription (PZN 19235763) and is therefore free of charge for people with statutory health insurance and most people with private insurance. A clinical study showed that the use of Una for diabetes led to a significant improvement in blood glucose levels, weight and quality of life for users. Over 90% of patients would recommend Una for Diabetes to others.
Una for Diabetes is suitable for people who have been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and are at least 18 years old. There are no medical contraindications; however, the programme is not suitable for people who are pregnant or breastfeeding and have had bariatric surgery in the past 3 months. Una for Diabetes is the first DiGA with a holistic treatment approach that combines blood glucose monitoring, lifestyle, medication and mental health and includes features such as:
- Food and activity diary with filterable overview and individualised evaluation of blood glucose response
- Recommendations for an optimal diet with individualised meal assessments and meal experiments
- Weekly goals, daily actions and regular reminders to guide you on your journey
- Short, evidence-based lessons on improving diabetes management, diet and exercise, overcoming barriers to behaviour change and more
- Track and visualise progress of key physiological and behavioural metrics such as blood glucose control, weight, waist circumference, mood, stress and energy
- Chat function with Una Health Support in the event of technical problems or questions and for assistance in using the app
- Export function to export personal data for patients or their treating doctor
