OutcropediApp is an initiative run by TecTask, the Commission on Tectonics and Structural Geology of the IUGS (International Union of Geological Sciences). It aims to valorize geological field data and to freely share the best outcrop photos among Geology professionals and lovers.
OutcropediApp makes it very easy to share photos of geological outcrops and to create geo-tours. This app will allow you to:
- share photos of the outcrops directly from the field, using your smartphone
- easily find information on the best outcrops worldwide or those close to your position
- have a freely available database of geological structures, also for teaching and informative purposes
