Housework support app that makes it easier to use Hitachi home appliances

"Happiness Up" is an app available to all Hitachi home appliance owners.

[1] Consolidate useful household information in one app
Happiness Up lets you check useful household information in one place, such as the operating status of connected appliances (*1) and seasonal food information.
(*1) Applicable: Connected appliances such as washing machines and refrigerators (freezer R-KC11R is not supported)

[2] Information delivered according to usage. Enjoy worry-free use of your appliances for a long time.
- We deliver maintenance suggestions, tips for using your appliances effectively, and safety inspection reports. Even if you forget about filter maintenance or replacement times, you'll receive notifications (*2), so you can rest assured.
- We inform you about the possibility of repair in case of product failure, based on the retention period of repair parts (repair performance parts). We will inform you of the manufacturer's retention period for repair parts (*3), which will be reached after a certain period has passed since the end of manufacturing of the applicable product. This will give you a chance to check the condition of your appliances.

(*2) Target: Connected appliances such as washing machines and refrigerators. *Freezer R-KC11R is not supported.
(*3) Target: Hitachi appliances that can be registered in the app and whose parts availability period is approaching (excluding some models).

[3] Find the information you need about Hitachi appliances instantly. We also support troubleshooting and problem-solving.
You can quickly check instruction manuals and how-to videos on your smartphone. Also, if you suspect a problem or malfunction with your appliance, you can access the inquiry desk and repair consultation/application form from your smartphone.

[4] Refrigerator smartphone connectivity function
You can easily check the operating status (*1) and change settings from outside the home. The "Notification function" will send a push notification if you forget to close the door (*1). Also, if you search for the name of the food you want to store, the "Usage Concierge" will guide you to the recommended storage location and method tailored to your refrigerator.
(*1) Applies to the refrigerator compartment, ice maker compartment, and lower freezer compartment.

(*4) Applicable to connected home appliance refrigerators R-HZC62Y, R-HZC54Y, R-HWC62Y, R-HWC54Y, and R-HWC49Y.

[5] Inside and outside the refrigerator! "Integrated Food Management"
You can manage various food items stored in the refrigerator and pantry all in one place, and you can also create shopping lists, making it very convenient. It helps reduce duplicate purchases and forgotten food items. You can also register food items stored outside the refrigerator, making it ideal for managing emergency food items whose expiration dates are often forgotten. In addition, registered food items are automatically linked to the menu planning support function "Quick Recipe Plan," reducing the effort required to plan meals.

[6] Connect to your smartphone for laundry support
It remembers your preferred washing method and notifies you of the operating status. Furthermore, it automatically orders detergent and fabric softener before you run out. The app makes laundry more convenient and enjoyable.

[7] "Quick Recipe Plan" - Receive up to 7 days' worth of recipes, one dish per day
Simply set the date you want recipes suggested and the ingredients you want to use (*6), and you'll easily receive up to 7 days' worth of recipes (*7), one dish per day.

(*6) For connected refrigerators, recipes are suggested from the ingredient list in the "Hitachi Refrigerator Concierge App." (However, connected refrigerators and freezers R-KC11R released before January 2023 are not supported.)

(*7) Displays recipes from the cooking menu of the MRO-W10B microwave oven. For users of connected microwave ovens paired with the "Hitachi Microwave Healthy Chef App," recipes that can be cooked in your microwave oven will be displayed.

[8] "Emergency Home Appliance Alert" - One-Stop Service from Malfunction Notification to Repair Request
When a malfunction (※9) occurs in the main unit of your connected home appliance (washing machine/refrigerator) (※8), you will be notified on your smartphone screen, and you can handle everything from checking how to deal with the problem to requesting repairs in one stop via the app.
(※8) Applicable: Connected home appliances such as washing machines and refrigerators (freezer R-KC11R is not supported)
(※9) A malfunction in the main unit refers to a symptom where the customer's troubleshooting methods are limited and inspection and repair by a repair technician are deemed necessary. The following will be displayed on the product:
・Washing machine: A notification number starting with "F" will be displayed. ・Refrigerator: The display on the control panel will flash.

[9] Easily diagnose and resolve "concerning symptoms" of your connected home appliance
We diagnose your connected home appliance (※10) based on its operating data and provide hints and advice to help resolve the issue.
(*10) Applicable models: Connected appliances such as washing machines and refrigerators (however, washing machine BD-NX120C, refrigerator R-KX57K, and freezer R-KC11R are not supported)

[10] Customize the cooking process and cooking course to your liking. Make your rice even more "your own style" (*11)
Each time you rate your rice with the app, you can use the "your own style" course to get closer to your preferred cooking result, and you can also run the "frequently used cooking course" from the app to register cooking settings and reservation settings. In addition, you can use the reservation time change function and the rice inventory management function.
