Housework support app that makes it easier to use Hitachi home appliances

"Happiness Up" is an app available to all Hitachi home appliance owners.

[1] Check useful household information all in one app.
Happiness Up allows you to check the operating status of your connected appliances (*1) and other household information, such as seasonal ingredients, all in one place.
(*1) Applicable: Connected washing machines and refrigerators (not compatible with the R-KC11R freezer).

[2] Provides information based on usage. Enjoy long-term peace of mind with your appliances.
- Receive maintenance suggestions, tips for using your appliances, and inspection reports. Even if you forget when to clean or replace filters, you'll receive notifications (*2).
- Receive notifications regarding repair availability based on the expiration date of repair parts (performance replacement parts). You'll be notified of the expiration date of repair parts (*3), which occurs a certain period after the end of production of the applicable product. This gives you an opportunity to check the condition of your appliances.
(※2) Applicable: Connected appliances such as washing machines and refrigerators. *The R-KC11R freezer is not supported.
(※3) Applicable: Hitachi appliances that can be registered in the app and are approaching the parts retention period (some models excluded).

[3] Find the information you need about Hitachi appliances quickly. Support for problem-solving in emergencies.
You can quickly check instruction manuals and how-to videos on your smartphone. Also, if you suspect an appliance is malfunctioning, you can access the customer service desk and request repairs from your smartphone.

[4] Smartphone connectivity for refrigerators
You can easily check the operating status(*1) and change settings while on the go, and the "Notifications" feature will send you a push notification if you forget to close the door(*1). Additionally, by searching for the name of the food you want to store, the "Usage Concierge" will recommend storage locations and methods tailored to your refrigerator.

(※4) Applies to connected appliance refrigerators R-HZC62Y, R-HZC54Y, R-HWC62Y, R-HWC54Y, and R-HWC49Y.

[5] Inside and Outside the Refrigerator! "Comprehensive Food Management"
Conveniently manage various ingredients stored in the refrigerator, pantry, etc., and create shopping notes. This helps reduce duplicate purchases and forgetting to buy ingredients. Since you can also register ingredients stored outside the refrigerator, it's recommended for managing emergency supplies, for example, for those whose expiration dates are often forgotten. Registered ingredients are also automatically linked with the "Quick Recipe Planning" menu planning support feature, reducing the hassle of planning meals.

[6] Connect to your smartphone for laundry support
The app remembers your preferred washing method and notifies you of the operating status. It can even automatically reorder detergent and fabric softener before you run out. The app makes laundry more convenient and enjoyable.

[7] "Quick Recipe Planning" allows you to receive up to seven days' worth of recipes, one item per day.
By simply setting the date and ingredients you want to receive suggestions for, you can easily receive up to seven days' worth of recipes (*7), one item per day.
(*6) For connected refrigerators, recipes are suggested from the ingredient list in the "Hitachi Refrigerator Concierge App." (However, this is not supported for connected refrigerators and freezers R-KC11R released before January 2011.)
(*7) Displays recipes for the cooking menus of the MRO-W10B microwave oven. If you have a connected microwave oven paired with the "Hitachi Microwave Oven Healthy Chef App," recipes that can be cooked with your microwave oven will be displayed.

[8] "Home Appliance Emergency Alert" provides one-stop service from notifying you of appliance malfunctions to requesting repairs.
If a malfunction (*9) occurs in your connected appliance (washing machine or refrigerator) (*8), you will be notified on your smartphone screen. The app allows you to check the corrective action and request repairs in one place.
(*8) Applicable: Connected appliance washing machines and refrigerators (freezer R-KC11R not supported).
(*9) A malfunction in the product itself is a symptom for which there are limited solutions available to the customer and which requires inspection or repair by a repair technician. The following will be displayed on the product:

Washing machine: A notification number beginning with "F" will be displayed.

Refrigerator: The display on the control panel will flash.

[9] Easily diagnose "worrisome symptoms" in connected appliances and provide hints and advice leading to a solution.

[10] Customize your rice cooking results and cooking courses to your liking. Make your rice even more "My Way" (※11)
Each time you rate your rice in the app, you can customize the "My Way" cooking course to get closer to your desired results. Register your rice cooking and timer settings in the app to use the "Frequently Used Cooking Courses." You can also use the timer time change function and rice inventory management function.
