Anyone signing up for the Basic Course for the first time can use the service for free for a limited period. (Previous Basic Course subscribers who have never used the free trial can also use the free trial.)

The free trial period is one month, including the start date of your initial purchase. If you do not cancel your subscription at least 24 hours before the end of the subscription period, you will automatically be charged for the next renewal.

The Umikaisei app is a marine-focused weather information service that provides pinpoint live reports and forecasts for over 18,000 beaches and coastal areas across Japan, as well as numerical wind and wave forecasts, image data, tidal information, and a moon phase calendar.
The app features a "real-time wind forecast," providing hourly updates of detailed wind information that was previously difficult to predict. Furthermore, wind and wave forecasts are displayed alongside the Japan Meteorological Agency's forecast data, in addition to proprietary forecast data developed in collaboration with Kyoto University. This allows users to see trends in both forecasts, making it easier to make decisions when setting sail, fishing, or engaging in various marine activities. Furthermore, the icon designs have been updated, and the animated weather information images and playback content are now easier to see and use.
With a simple search, you can view detailed weather information for your desired destination. Map search lets you easily find the weather for the location you want to know about by simply zooming in and out with your fingertips.
