"Sidraba Birzs", an AR experience in Mežaparks, where folk songs and pop music come to life

The "Sidraba Birzs" application offers a unique experience of augmented reality in the Mežaparka Grand Stage. Download the application, grant access to the camera and GPS, go to the specified marker and point the device's camera in its direction. You will see a spatially accurate 3D model and hear sound compositions that change depending on your movement on the stage. The application includes 5 outdoor and 1 indoor composition, which illustrates the development of choral song culture from a folk song to a song festival, and also gives a visual insight into the basics of the stage architecture idea. We recommend using headphones to fully enjoy the sound space and visual experience.
