App Description
Monitors your eyes while driving and alerts you before you fall asleep.
Awake uses your phone's camera and real-time face detection to monitor your eyes and alert you if they close. Whether you're driving long distance or studying late at night, Awake makes sure you stay awake when it matters.
Drowsy driving kills thousands of people every year. Awake gives you a second pair of eyes that never gets tired.
How it works
Mount your phone where the front camera can see your face. Awake continuously tracks your eye openness using on-device ML Kit face detection. No internet connection needed. No images are stored or uploaded — everything stays on your phone.
Escalating alerts
Awake doesn't just beep once and hope for the best. Alerts escalate in three stages:
1. Haptic vibration and a gentle tone
2. Alarm sound with a spoken voice warning
3. Continuous alarm at maximum volume with screen flash
If you're deeply asleep, stage three will wake you up.
Driving and Study modes
Use Driving mode on the road with full alerts and no-face warnings. Switch to Study mode at your desk — it disables face-missing alerts and keeps the volume down so you don't disturb others.
Adjustable sensitivity
Tune the eye-closure threshold and alert delay to match your face and conditions. Works with glasses and naturally narrow eyes.
Trip history
Review past sessions with stats on duration, drowsiness alerts, and no-face events.
