Background emergency services:
When the user activates the "Enable emergency services" option, Family Protection maintains a visible service running in the background to detect emergency actions even when the app is closed. While this feature is active, the app displays a visible notification, and the user can deactivate it at any time in Settings.

Location usage:
Family Protection uses the device's location to share the user's position with their emergency contacts when an alert is triggered or when a contact requests their location. This allows contacts to locate the user more quickly in a risky situation.
