App for the study of parasitosis produced by systemic protozoa.

The development of this application was financed by the PAPIME DGAPA UNAM PE206320 project awarded to Dr. Norma Rivera Fernández, Department of Microbiology and Parasitology, School of Medicine UNAM. Participants: Dra. Paola García Dávila, Biol. Nelia D. Luna Chavira and Dra. Guillermina Ávila Ramírez, Department of Microbiology and Parasitology, Faculty of Medicine, UNAM.

Systemic protozoa is an application that contains multimedia didactic material for the study of medically important parasitosis produced by tissue protozoa that are included in the Parasitology thematic unit of the Microbiology and Parasitology subject of the second year of the Medical Surgeon career of the UNAM School of Medicine. It includes information regarding the generalities of parasitosis, transmission mechanisms, clinical picture, diagnosis and treatment. This app should only be used as a study tool to reinforce the knowledge acquired in class since the information is only a summary of the chair of each parasitosis. The topics included in the app are: free-living amoebas, malaria, toxoplasmosis, American trypanosomiasis and leishmaniasis. The user must understand that the content presented in this application is only for informational purposes and designed for medical students, so a specialist doctor should be consulted when any of these conditions are suffered.
