SyncGallery is a transparent backup-and-sync app for your photos, videos, and related files. Unlike apps that sync silently, SyncGallery shows you every operation and gives you control no other gallery offers.

SyncGallery is a backup and restore app. To work, it needs to:
• Scan all your folders to find duplicates and avoid re-downloading files you already have
• Let you pick individual files from any folder, not just whole folders
• Sync custom file types and photo-edit sidecars alongside your photos
• Reach SD card storage and app-specific media folders that scoped storage can't see in the background
You'll be asked to enable this under Settings → Special app access → All files access. Without it, the core sync features cannot operate.
