Near VGPS transforms your smartphone into a reliable GPS tracking device, seamlessly integrated with the NearGPS fleet management platform.

Designed for delivery drivers, couriers, and fleet operators, Near VGPS transmits real-time GPS positions to your company's tracking server — no additional hardware required.

Continuous position reporting with high-precision coordinates, speed, heading, and altitude data.

• Background Tracking
Keeps transmitting even when the app is in the background or the screen is off. On Android, a foreground service ensures tracking survives app closure.

• Offline Buffer
Lost connection? No problem. Positions are stored locally and automatically sent when connectivity is restored. No data is ever lost.

• Tracking Modes
Switch between Active mode (15-second intervals for real-time monitoring) and Eco mode (30-second intervals for battery savings). When you are in the same place the reports every 9 minutes.

• Schedule-Based Automation
Your administrator can configure weekly tracking schedules. The app starts and stops tracking automatically — The must be opened to start reporting automatically.

• QR Code Activation
Get started in seconds. Scan the activation QR code provided by your administrator and begin tracking immediately.

• Battery & Network Monitoring
Real-time battery level and network type (WiFi, 4G, 3G) are reported alongside GPS data, giving fleet managers complete device visibility.

• Secure Communication
All data is transmitted via TCP with length-prefixed protocol to the NearGPS ingestion server, ensuring reliable and efficient delivery.

• Bilingual Support
Full English and Spanish interface with automatic detection based on your device language, plus manual language selection.

1. Your fleet administrator generates an activation code from the NearGPS platform
