Useful features in the app

Anyone with a personal P- or E-pass can request access to other government buildings via My Access. Simply select the location and desired period, and—depending on the location's access policy—you'll either receive immediate access or your request will be reviewed first, and you'll receive a notification whether your request has been approved.

You can also easily find directions to the location where you requested access using the navigation function.

A Rijkspass that hasn't been used on-site for 35 days is automatically deactivated, a standard for security. Five days before your pass becomes inactive due to this 35-day rule, you'll receive a notification in the app. You'll then be given the option to keep your pass active. This eliminates the need to come to the office to have it reactivated, a time-consuming process that isn't suitable for hybrid working practices. This is only possible if your pass has a valid status in the GCMS and you have a working relationship with the government.

At a growing number of locations, you can use convenient new features, such as operating lockers to store your belongings, and a trial is underway involving self-service key distribution for rental bikes. You'll also find information about applications that almost everyone already knows and uses, such as requesting access and secure printing and scanning. To maximize the benefits of your Rijkspas and eliminate the need for duplicate resources, we are collaborating with the Central Government Real Estate Agency and facility service providers to explore the needs and opportunities for making new features available at more locations.

Secure and user-friendly. The app meets the requirements for information security, privacy, and digital accessibility. After downloading, you'll be asked to enter some of your Rijkspas information and create a PIN to securely use all functionalities.
