The Museum for Art in Public Space (KOR) museum app shows you the quickest route to art. In the exhibition "The Most Average Exhibition in the Netherlands," we take you past various works of art in different neighborhoods of Apeldoorn. According to renowned research, Apeldoorn has been the most average municipality in the Netherlands for several years. In this exhibition, we visit the neighborhoods surrounding the city center and view works of art made from bronze to plastic, from hay bales to castles.

How does it work?

The app always shows which three works of art are closest to you. You choose one of the works of art, and an arrow appears on your screen, like a compass, guiding you. The direction is indicated as the crow flies, so you have to figure out which roads to take yourself. If you're going the right way, you'll see the distance between you and the artwork gradually decrease. Once you arrive at the artwork, a description of the artwork will appear on the screen, and you can listen to various audio fragments. These fragments are narrated by, for example, the artist, the person who commissioned the artwork, someone familiar with the location, or a random passerby.

If you'd like more art, click "I want more." You'll then be shown the three nearest artworks again.

Tip of the day

The best way to visit this exhibition is by bike. We strongly recommend a phone holder. These are also available in our museum shop. You can also visit the exhibition on foot, by car, and/or mobility scooter.
