Support and information for you as a loved one always nearby.
How should you deal with someone with mental health problems? That is one of the many questions you may have as a loved one. Family members play an important role in the support and recovery of a patient, although this role can be experienced as a great burden. In order to offer support to relatives of patients of GGZ Drenthe, but also to be able to inform and participate in the discussion about the policy for relatives, the Advisory Council of GGZ Drenthe is launching a unique Relatives App.
A loved one may feel insecure or powerless. Proper information and learning skills, for example through training or courses, can make it easier to deal with the situation. The aim of the NeighborsApp is that the next of kin feel heard and supported and are positioned in such a way that they become a natural part of the treatment of patients at GGZ Drenthe. This RelativesApp – developed for relatives of all patients of GGZ Drenthe – is the first app in the Netherlands specifically designed to provide support to relatives.
