Set up and manage your child's first Android phone with a personal QR code.

My first phone is the companion app for parents who want to introduce a child to their first Android phone gradually and safely.

Start in the parent app: create your family account, add your child and receive a personal QR code. Scan the QR code during first-time setup on the child's Android phone to enrol it. The child's phone then receives the family's settings and can be managed from the parent app.

The parent app helps you stay connected and keep an overview of what matters:

• Generate a personal QR code for first-time setup on a child's Android phone
• See whether the child's phone is online, charged and up to date
• View the child's latest shared location and location history
• Call or send a message to the child's phone
• Choose age-appropriate apps and see which approved apps still await installation on the child's phone
• Set entertainment time, school time, bedtime and holidays
• Choose a primary and secondary public-transport app
• Set safe zones such as home and school, with notifications when the child leaves a zone
• Receive relevant alerts such as low battery, a phone that has been offline for too long, or an emergency call

My first phone is built around gradual independence. Useful everyday features such as calling, messages, contacts, camera, maps and public transport stay available, while entertainment and optional apps can be introduced at a pace that suits your family.

Google Play apps are installed on the child's Android phone. In the parent app, you approve an app and the policy is synchronised; the installation is then completed on the child's device.

This app is for parents. The companion management app is installed on the child's Android phone during enrolment with the personal QR code generated here.
