App Description

This app works as a remote control for the Onyx Lighting System by Obsidian

Onyx Lighting by Obsidian is a freely available application that turns Windows PCs into full featured lighting consoles / DMX controllers for live production. This app turns your phone or tablet into a remote control interface for the Onyx Lighting software.

Instructions:

1. Your phone must be on the same network as the computer running Onyx.

2. The computer running Onyx must also be running the Onyx Manager Program.

3. In Onyx Manager, click Setup > Net Remote and turn on the Telnet Remote Server. Write down the port number (usually 2323).

4. Identify the IP address of the computer running Onyx by clicking Start > Settings > Network > Ethernet > Properties, scroll down to where you can see IPv4 address and write down that number.

5. Launch the app on your phone.

6. Tap the settings icon in the top right of the screen.

7. Enter the IPv4 address and the port you wrote down earlier.

8. Tap "Test Connection"

9. If it works, you can click the back arrow in the top left to start using the application.
