Ending preventable deaths in neglected communities starting in Togo, West Africa

Hope Through Health (HTH) saves lives of women and children in forgotten communities. HTH provides high quality healthcare to nearly 40,000 women, children and individuals living with HIV/AIDS through 9 health centers across northern Togo. After building and scaling one of the most effective HIV/AIDS care programs in Togo, HTH expanded its services in 2015 to reduce maternal and child mortality. After 12 months, HTH observed a more than 500% increase in the number of children under 5 receiving care for potentially life threatening illnesses, an over 200% increase in prenatal consultations and a 68% increase in facility-based deliveries. HTH’s maternal and child health program has transformed some of the poorest performing health centers in rural Togo.
