The BCVA Remote Solution Platform manages Best Corrected Visual Acuity process.

The BCVA Remote Solution Platform consist of a web dashboard, to manage Best Corrected Visual Acuity (BCVA) process, and a mobile application to collect data directly on the field. Both components are synergized to provide a remote solution for BCVA service certification needs. Site staff and clinicians use this platform for administering training and certification to experienced clinicians who perform BCVA (refraction and visual acuity) procedures by utilizing a stepwise ETDRS training protocol and to assess the examination lanes for complete equipment and accurate lane configurations. The web dashboard allows management of certification activities at the site level and permits the Certification Officer to actively evaluate completed certification tasks or activities by BCVA examiner and view and evaluate video assessments of examination lanes as completed by Site Coordinator.

The key features of web dashboard allow certification requests management; ETDRS lane equipment management and BCVA examiner training management. The key features of the mobile App include an Examiner Certification workflow (EC workflow) and a Lane Certification workflow (LC workflow). The EC workflow includes ETDRS training protocol documents, training video and BCVA examiner evaluation or quiz while the LC workflow includes equipment verification, lane distance and light verifications.


This convenient and easy semi-automated method of lane certification ensures a more consistent and standardized process, and the real time remote feedback mechanism guarantees accurate measurements. The examiner certification experience using this combined web dashboard and mobile application elevates examiner proficiency through continuous monitoring.
