With the blessings and the guidance from HDH Goswami 108 Shri Dhrumilkumarji Mahodayshri, (our
Spiritual Benefactor – Ashraydata), Pushtimargiay Vaishanv Samaj of Canada (PMVSC) started the Haveli
(Temple) on November 13th, 2005. Shrinathji’s (Lord Krishna) Anavaran Vidhi and tilak Vidhi
(Inauguration) were conducted on this day amongst a huge crowd of Vaishnavs (one of the sect of
Hindu). There were tears of joy in the eyes of the vaishnavs and for the committee members it was a
dream come true after years of long wait. We received a great amount of help and co-operation from
Vraj USA, a temple in Pennsylvania and this support received in the first year is greatly appreciated.

Over 3000+ Pushtimargiya families residing in Toronto enjoy the Darshan of Shri Thakorji from time to
time. During utsav, there are approximately 1200 – 1500 vaishnavs that come for Darshan (viewing) of
Shri Thakorji. There are also visiting vaishnavs, friends and family of resident vaishnavs, from all over the
world, who visit the Haveli for Darshan of Shri Thakorji and to admire this commitment towards
preserving Pushtimarg and its principles. The vaishnavs of Canada listen to the Spiritual Discourses
presented by visiting Pushti Acharya, other religious dignities and scholars. We celebrate Pushti Utsavs
(Hindu festivals) like Vasant, Holi-khel, Dolotsav, Shriji Patotsav, Hindola, Janmashtami, Nand Mahotsav,
Sharadotsav, Dlilwali, Annakut, Mahaprabhuji-Gusainji-gokulnathji Pragatyotsavs and Sanjhi.
PMVS Cultural Centre works under the umbrella of PMVSC and involves in activities for all age groups of
Vaishnav community of Canada. PMVS conduct a youth club, Vallabh Youth Organization, where
younger children are taught the values and teaching Pushtimarg to foster and promote the Indian
heritage in Canadian mainstream. Library of Pushtimargiya readings is providing books and literature on
Pushtimarg. Seniors and youngsters take advantage of this service.
The committee members of PMVSC dream of starting a Senior Ciltizen Club with activities for senior
vaishnavs, engaging them in satsang and outdoor activities.
For young generation, PMVSC plans to conduct classes to teach Shrinagar for various seasons, and on
various occasions, kirtan classes, Phool Ghar Seva, Tokri Seva, Protocols of Pushtimarg, thus
incorporating Pushti Seva Prakar in the new generation to spread the religion and preserve the values.
Under the PMVSC there is a future plan of starting new immigrant settlement services to aid the new
comers in their initial period of settlement in Canada. These services will help the new comers to
integrate into the society and the labour market as well as socialize while getting the benefit of seva and
Darshan of Shri Thakorji.
