This innovative App has been significantly refreshed by the World Bank as part of an evolving Livable Planet Observatory to improve awareness of a growing world of freely accessible data and analytics of relevance to development. Although challenges still exist in access to development data, there are opportunities to leverage the data collected from across the globe, from earth observation, and generated by models to provide useful insights. This App draws from the hard work over the years of many countries, agencies and individuals that have worked to make data more organized and accessible as free online services to provide insights for any location of interest globally. A new world of cloud analytics and visualization has also enabled access to powerful exploration of complex data. This “Spatial Agent” mobile App update leverages these new capabilities to visualize this growing range of spatial and temporal perspectives of development-related data on Android devices.
