Book of Stars is an atmospheric arcade game about dexterity, attention, and the ability to maintain a course even in the most unpredictable winds. A crate slowly descends from the sky beneath a parachute canopy, but the descent is far from easy—strong gusts of wind, lightning, and bombs attempt to disrupt the trajectory and destroy the cargo. The player must manually control the throttle lines to maintain balance and accurately land the cargo in the landing zone.
Each swipe on the left or right cords changes the angle of the canopy, adjusting its direction. Subtle movements allow you to control your fall, avoiding swinging and being carried by the wind. Gusts of wind occur suddenly and last only a short time—react quickly, or the crate will be blown beyond the landing zone.
The main goal is to gently and accurately deliver the cargo to the center of the marked area at the foot of the screen. Each successful landing adds points, while a miss or a lightning strike costs one life. The game ends when you reach zero lives, but a series of flawless landings will return the lost life if you maintain the pace.
As you progress, Book of Stars becomes increasingly challenging—the wind picks up, lightning strikes appear more frequently, and reactions must be instantaneous. The tension builds with every meter of the fall, and the reward for a perfect hit becomes especially satisfying.
