The APIA GeoFoto application is a mobile application, developed for control inspectors and farmers who have applied for APIA payment. The app allows navigation and map positioning using GPS (users are guided in real-time to the exact locations of declared parcels and warned if the GPS accuracy is not sufficient to take a valid photo), geolocation photo retrieval (allows users to take photos with geolocation, including essential metadata such as date, time, latitude, longitude and altitude, all attached to the photo). In addition to photos with geolocation, the application allows the storage of other documents such as pdf, jpg, etc.
The app allows users to take photos with geolocation even when there is no internet connection. In this case, the application uses the offline maps (previously loaded) to allow viewing of the plots and direct the user to the desired location.
The application provides support for photo orientation through AR (Augmented Reality) virtual markers and an angle positioning system (captures precise images of crops, ensuring that the angle between the camera and the observed plot is correct).
The application brings multiple benefits by increasing the efficiency and transparency of the control process, providing both authorities and farmers with a faster, simpler and more reliable system for managing and verifying the compliance of payment application information. In addition to improving operational performance at the institutional level, this application also contributes to optimizing the relationship between farmers and the competent authorities.
