SRG Player is a lightweight, fast media player that lets you enjoy your local audio and video files and quickly browse internet radio and TV stations by country. It’s designed for travelers and anyone who misses stations from home—simple to set up, easy to use.

* Quick gestures: In landscape video/TV, swipe left side to adjust brightness, right side for volume. Brightness returns to your device’s original setting when you rotate back to portrait.
* Notifications: Handy Play/Pause controls in the notification (required for Radio/TV).
* Seven languages built in: English, Portuguese, Italian, French, Dutch, Spanish, Chinese.

- How it works

* Audio & Video: Played from your device (no upload, no cloud). On first use, pick your media folders once; SRG Player remembers your choices.
* Radio & TV: Played over the internet. Select a country (or use the default based on your device language). You can change countries any time.

- Important notes & expectations

* Public sources, not our servers: We don’t host or re-stream content. SRG Player simply provides access to publicly available station lists and stream links.
* Not every station will play: Availability depends on the station’s servers and policies. Some entries may be geo-restricted or temporarily offline. If a station doesn’t play, please try another.
* We respect broadcasting rules: The app doesn’t circumvent DRM or geo-blocking. We’re committed to worldwide broadcasting norms. Requests to remove a station are honored—email us via the address in the app’s EULA/About.
* Data usage: Radio/TV use your network connection; charges may apply.

- Controls & UI

* Audio/Video controls: On the main screen (Prev / Play-Pause / Next, Shuffle, Random) and via system notification.
* Radio/TV controls: Play/Pause from the notification for quick access.
* Country selection: Choose different countries for Radio and TV. If you don’t choose, we default to the country of your device language (e.g., English (Australia) → Australia).
* Help & info: Find How to Use, About, and EULA in the three-dot menu (top-right).

- Permissions we request (and why)

* Notifications (required for Radio/TV controls): Enables quick Play/Pause while the app is in the background.
* Folder access (Storage Access Framework): Lets you select your local media folders for Audio/Video playback.
* Internet: Needed to fetch directory lists and stream Radio/TV.

- Privacy

* No account, no signup, no analytics.
* We do not collect, sell, or share your personal data. Settings (folders, country) are stored locally on your device. See the in-app EULA and Privacy Policy for details.
