App Description
Protects your digital identity
Gradient creates a frictionless and passwordless authentication experience that eliminates phishing and other credential-based cyberattacks. With Gradient, you authenticate seamlessly into all of your applications via your SSO – with no more passwords, passkeys, SMS texts, authenticator apps, or additional devices.
The Gradient app helps with initial setup, including performing a one-time association between your account and your Android device. Once associated, Gradient operates in the background to simplify your logins while securing your online identity and digital credentials against cyberattacks.
Disclosure: Gradient uses VpnService to route traffic destined to our authentication servers via a VPN Tunnel accessible only using Gradient issued credentials bestowed after registration. This enables secure, passwordless, zero trust authentication into your organization’s services and applications. Gradient creates and collects an identifier for your device which is associated with your user information (identifier/email) to enable authentication. It contains no information about the user or device and is generated at random solely for the purpose of facilitating operation of the Gradient solution.
Installation & Setup Instructions
After installing the Gradient app:
Step 1: Enter your organization’s configuration token (provided to you by your IT organization) and hit Download.
Step 2: Enable the toggle under Gradient Connection to enable connectivity for Gradient authentication.
Step 3:. After following all the above installation steps, you will need to register your user account to your device. This can be done using the One-Time-Password (OTP) code, if provided to you, by your IT department. If the Gradient connection status turns Connected, you should see the Submit OTP button turn blue. Click on it to go to the OTP page and associate your device. This should open the OTP page in a custom tab. Enter your OTP code, then return to the App after you get the Success page by clicking on the arrow button. Otherwise, please contact your IT department for them to register your user account to your device.
