Legally, all tobacco, cigarette filters, cigarette rolling papers, and alcoholic beverages in Türkiye are required to be marked with a tax stamp/code/coded label. These tax stamps provide multiple security features that can be checked visually or digitally. All are uniquely numbered with an encrypted data link to track and monitor system retention information for each product individually. The Mint and Printing House provides this application on behalf of the Revenue Administration. This application allows the public to verify the authenticity of the consumption tax stamps on these products. This application will guide you to check the various security features visually and digitally and will display information about the product. The application aims to make every consumer a voluntary inspector.

According to the legislation of the Republic of Turkey, tobacco products, cigarette filters, cigarette rolling papers, and alcoholic beverages must be marked with a tax stamp, code, or coded label before being offered for sale. The BÜİS (Biological Consumption Tax System) aims to prevent tax revenue losses and provide significant effectiveness in combating unregistered consumption. The tax stamps contain multiple security features and are verifiable both visually and digitally. Within the scope of the Tax Identification System (TAS), operations and transactions are carried out by the General Directorate of the Mint and Printing House on behalf of the Revenue Administration. The system allows for systematic tracking and monitoring of each product through encrypted data links with a unique number for each item. This enables consumers and inspectors to easily perform TAAS checks and access detailed information about the products.

TAS not only helps prevent tax revenue losses and combat unregistered consumption, but also allows the public to act as voluntary inspectors by checking the authenticity of the TAAS on these products. Each TAAS is equipped with specific security features and offers a range of digital and visual inspection options for users to verify the legality of the product.

The main purpose of this system is to prevent tax losses, protect consumers, and prevent the sale of illegal products.
