The role of insect pests in forest tree species is well recognized. If the infestation is left unchecked, it may lead to major pest outbreak and finally destruction of large areas of natural and/or planted forests. In view of this, the present mobile application brings out information on the major insect pests of prominent trees in south India along with their control measures. This Application will surely serve as a useful tool for various stakeholders in identifying early pest attacks and to adopt necessary control measures, thereby saving both the resources as well as field expenses.
